Q Do dogs bark a lot?
A

They usually don’t bark a lot, but we recommend to train not to bark when they are puppy. We explain how to do in details.

Q Can we see puppy’s parents?
A

Yes, all their parents live in our kennel.

Q Which is easy to raise, male or female?
A

It depends. But usually male is stronger than female.

Q We can’t decide what kind of dog suits for us.
A

When you have many concerns about dogs, it is the best way to see dogs. Of course, we give as much information as possible.

Q It is the first time to have a dog. We worry about potty training.
A

It is easy to train if you prepare a dog crate and replacement tray at first. For more details, please ask us.

Q Do dogs bite house furniture?
A

When they are puppy, sometimes they do. So, to avoid this situation, you had better put away thing that you don’t want to be bit. If your dog bites things that you can’t put away, please ask us how to solve.

Q Should we stay with our dog all the time at the beginning?
A

No, you don’t have to. Because your puppy needs to sleep a lot, so if you stay in your house, please let him/her alone.

Q Do dogs do well with children?
A

Yes, dogs are nice to children unless they frighten dogs. We give some advice in advance, if you tell us you have children.

Q Do you take care of our dog during our trip?
A

Yes, of course. We have 2 programs, “stay” or “brush up camping” to retrain. For more details, please see “brush up camping”.

Q We look for a good veterinary hospital for neutering or spaying.
A

We have our regular veterinarian and they can operate. Please be assured that until removing the stiches, we take care of your dog.

Q Does new puppy do well with our old dog?
A

We give advices after confirming old dog’s character and sociality. In any cases, it is important the first meeting each other. You have no problems if you are careful of how to meet and follow aftercare cautions.

Q If we can’t train our puppy well after living together, could you support us?
A

Yes, we’re willing to do and promise to be always with owners and dogs. And your dog can get in “brush up camping” which is our retraining program.

Q Our dog isn’t good at walking.
A

No problem. We train how to walk at “owner’s seminar” which is our fare-paying service on a one-to-one basis. So we’re sure that he/she will be a good walker.

Q We are confused which is the best way for training to follow dog magazine, web-sites, or my friend’s advices.
A

We teach you practical advices based on our extensive experience.

Q There are so many items at pet shops. We have no idea which items should we buy.
A

Don’t worry, please ask us in advance. There are items that you don’t need to buy or not to give your dog.

Q We’d like to visit your kennel. Please tell us how to make a reservation.
A

Please apply through e-mail form on our web-site or call us directly and tell us what kind of puppy you would like to see and visiting date and time.

Q Are they smelly?
A

No, they are hardly smelly.

Q How many times do we shampoo our dog in a month?
A

The best is once in a month. But it is OK that twice a month. A

nd please brush your dog everyday or once in a couple of days.

Q How often do we have to have our dog’s hair cut?
A

You don’t have to.

Q What should we do if our dog would be sick?
A

Please contact us before you go to see your personal veterinarian. In emergency situation, please call us, not e-mail.

Q Could you recommend good veterinarians?
A

We don’t have all information about veterinarians in Japan, but we can introduce you all good veterinarians we know. And there are various types of animal hospitals, so we teach you how they look like based on our experience.

Q Could we ask about small problem?
A

Of course. Any problems that you have are our concern. So please don’t hesitate to ask us, you are our family.

Q We’ll move to abroad. Could you support us?
A

Yes, we give advices how to import and export your dog and teach which points you should pay attention to.

Q We plan to have dog for the future, but could we make a reservation?
A

Yes, you can make puppy’s reservation any time. We accept it before months ago when dog give birth.

Q Could you tell us what should we do for prevention?
A

Your dog need to get combination vaccine and rabies vaccination. And you should protect your dog from heartwarm disease from spring to autumn and fleas and ticks. We explain for details when we provide your dog.

Q We’re worried about caring when our dog gets old.
A

It is a good way to find a veterinarian who makes house calls. Usually you don’t have to take care of large dogs, not like small dogs.

Q Which is better to keep our dog inside or outside?
A

Both are OK. It is common to keep dogs inside, but there is no problem to keep outside. We give advice for each owner to prevent the heat.

Q Is it difficult to keep a dog if we don’t have a large yard?
A

No, the size of yard isn’t a big matter if you could prepare a stout fence of 1.5m-square.

Q Do we have to take a long walk?
A

No, it’s better not to exercise too much. It is enough about 15‾30 minutes. A

lso, you don’t need to make a taking a walk everyday by habit.

Q Do dogs eat a lot?
A

Comparing small dogs, large dogs eat a lot. For example, extra-large adult dogs eat food about 3 or 4 cups at each meal twice a day.

Q Our experience of having dog is only Labrador, Golden Retriever and Shiba.
A

Living with large dogs is easier than medium-sized dogs.

Q Because it is our first time to live with dog, we’re worried about it.
A

There are many owners that their first dog is Leonberger or Spanish Mastiff. We don’t think that living with larger dogs is more difficult.
